About Us

The core team consists of Anjana Vivek and Madhumita Saha, with Kuliza Labs as the technology partner. Anjana is a Chartered Accountant with 22 years of experience in consulting, industry and academia. Madhumita is an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, with 21 years of experience in learning design, e-learning, quality assurance and IT. biZkul is incubated by Kuliza Labs, which is also an investor in this company.

Anjana Vivek, Co-Founder

Anjana Vivek, a former IIM Bangalore faculty, specializes in partnering with businesses, mentoring them and providing inputs in the area of strategy and finance.
Key positions held by Anjana include COO of NSRCEL (N.S. Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning) at IIMB and Vice President, Corporate Advisory Services, Ernst & Young Private Ltd. (E&Y), where she headed the due diligence practice in South India. Anjana has authored three books and regularly writes in leading Indian media on entreprenuership and finance. She was the founding editor of the venture activity reports of the Indian Venture Capital Association (IVCA) from 1992 to 1998.Anjana is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has a degree in B.Sc (Honours) Physics from the University of Delhi.

Madhumita Saha, Co-Founder, Director

An IIM-Calcutta alumni, Madhumita Saha is an expert in education and technology enabled learning space. Madhumita's prior start-up experience in the education and training industry included a pioneering experiment with a hybrid model of Internet based distance education in a venture with the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC). The venture included corporate customers like Cisco, GE, and other large companies in the IT sector. Madhumita has been a resource person for the Education and Multimedia Research Lab of the University Grants Commission and has delivered "E-Learning expert sessions" for broadcast over the TV network.
Madhumita's experience in the area of Information Technology includes setting up IT departments from scratch for multinational companies in India, like Volvo India Pvt. Ltd. and Motorola India's paging divisions.
